Terms for using Nodefall.

The local canvas is free. These terms also cover the optional €5/month Pro subscription sold through Link using Stripe Managed Payments.

Nodefall is operated by Scott Santinho, an independent operator based in France. Questions can be sent through scottsantinho.com.

By using Nodefall, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service. If you use Nodefall for an organization, you confirm that you are authorized to accept these terms for it.

Nodefall provides a browser-based canvas for Systems architecture, Schema diagrams, and Draw sketches. Current features include animated semantic flows, authored walkthroughs, read-only links and embeds, local drafts, an optional Pro cloud library, and exports such as images, video, GraphDoc JSON, SQL DDL, DBML, and Terraform/OpenTofu scaffolds.

You may use the local editor without an account. Signing in is optional. A paid Pro entitlement gates cloud saving, version history, share and embed creation, premium exports, and MCP access — not the ability to view or create a local design.

Nodefall does not connect to, scan, monitor, deploy, govern, or certify your live cloud environment. Catalog blocks and lint messages are design aids, not guarantees about security, cost, reliability, compliance, compatibility, or provider availability.

Terraform/OpenTofu output is a TODO-marked starting scaffold. You must review, complete, test, secure, and approve generated infrastructure code before any use. Nodefall is not a substitute for professional architecture, database, legal, security, or compliance review.

You are responsible for access to your sign-in provider, the accuracy of account information, and all activity performed through your account. Do not share authentication links. Tell the operator promptly through the contact form if you suspect unauthorized access.

You must be legally capable of agreeing to these terms. A minor may use Nodefall only with the permission and supervision required by applicable law and their parent or guardian.

You retain your rights in diagrams, text, schemas, imported material, and other content you provide. You grant Nodefall and its service providers a limited, non-exclusive license to host, copy, process, transmit, and display that content only as needed to operate the features you choose.

You confirm that you have the rights needed to use and share your content. Current share links and embeds are self-contained and cannot be revoked by Nodefall after distribution. Anyone with a full link may view, copy, export, or redistribute its diagram, so do not include secrets, credentials, personal data, or confidential information unless every recipient is authorized.

You must not use Nodefall to:

  • break the law, infringe intellectual-property or privacy rights, or create or distribute harmful or deceptive material;
  • upload malware, secrets you are not authorized to process, or content intended to exploit another person or system;
  • probe, bypass, overload, interfere with, or gain unauthorized access to Nodefall, its providers, accounts, or security measures;
  • misrepresent generated diagrams, lint, catalogs, or scaffolds as audited, certified, deployed, or guaranteed by Nodefall;
  • use automated traffic at a volume that degrades the service or prevents others from using it.

Nodefall, its interface, original site content, branding, and underlying software remain the property of their respective owners and licensors. These terms do not transfer those rights to you. You may not remove ownership notices or imply sponsorship, certification, or endorsement that has not been given.

Third-party names, icons, cloud services, open-source packages, and exported formats remain subject to their own trademarks, licenses, and terms.

Nodefall relies on Vercel and Google Firebase/Cloud, offers passwordless email sign-in and may offer Google or GitHub sign-in where configured, and uses Stripe Managed Payments for Pro purchases. Link is the merchant of record for those transactions. Links and exports may also be opened in software that Nodefall does not control. Those providers apply their own terms and privacy notices. Nodefall is not responsible for a third party’s service, content, outage, account decision, or change.

Personal-data handling is described separately in the Nodefall Privacy notice.

Nodefall is provided without a service-level agreement. Features may be added, changed, limited, flagged, suspended, or removed; provider catalogs and beta vocabularies may become outdated. Maintenance, security incidents, browser behavior, provider outages, or experimental features may interrupt access.

When reasonably possible, material user-facing changes will be recorded in the public changelog.

The core local canvas is free. Nodefall Pro costs €5 per monthbefore any tax or currency adjustment shown in Checkout. There is no trial. The subscription renews automatically each month until canceled, and Checkout shows the total before you confirm the purchase.

Pro purchases are sold through Link using Stripe Managed Payments. Link acts as merchant of record, calculates and collects applicable indirect tax, provides transaction support, and supplies its own transaction terms at Checkout. You can use Link to update payment details, view orders, or cancel the subscription. Cancellation stops future renewal according to the effective date shown by Link; Nodefall keeps Pro access only while Stripe reports an active or trialing subscription or a valid complimentary grant.

Refund requests for a Managed Payments purchase can be made through Link support. Stripe may issue a refund under its transaction terms and policies; mandatory consumer rights remain unaffected. Product questions and access problems can also be sent through the Nodefall contact form.

You are responsible for keeping copies of important work. Browser storage may be cleared, self-contained links can be copied by recipients, and exports may render differently in third-party software. Check files before relying on them.

You may delete individual cloud designs. Account deletion immediately cancels an active Pro subscription, removes the user’s cloud library, and then deletes the authentication account, subject to provider backup and transaction-record retention described in the Privacy notice. Deletion cannot retrieve or erase copies already exported, downloaded, screenshotted, or shared with others.

To the extent permitted by law, Nodefall is provided “as is” and “as available.” The operator does not promise that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, secure against every threat, compatible with every browser, or that diagrams, imports, exports, catalogs, lint, animations, and generated scaffolds will be complete or suitable for a particular production decision.

Nothing in these terms limits a statutory guarantee or other right that cannot legally be excluded.

You are responsible for your content, recipients, architecture decisions, database changes, exported files, and any infrastructure code you choose to run. To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the operator is not liable for indirect or consequential loss, loss of profit, revenue, opportunity, goodwill, or data arising from use of the service or reliance on its outputs.

These limits do not apply where liability cannot be excluded or limited, including liability arising from fraud, intentional misconduct, or other mandatory legal rules.

You may stop using Nodefall at any time and delete your local data, cloud designs, or account. The operator may restrict or suspend access when reasonably necessary to protect users or the service, respond to a legal requirement, investigate abuse, or enforce these terms. Where appropriate and lawful, notice and a chance to correct the issue will be provided.

Provisions that logically survive — including ownership, responsibility for distributed links and exports, warranty limits, liability rules, and dispute terms — continue after use ends.

These terms are governed by French law, without removing mandatory rights that apply in your country of residence. The parties should first try to resolve a dispute through the operator’s contact form. Any court jurisdiction clause is subject to mandatory consumer and procedural law.

Link’s transaction terms govern the sale, payment, tax, refund, and subscription-management parts of a Pro purchase. These Nodefall terms govern access to and use of the product. If any provision is unenforceable, the rest remains effective to the extent allowed by law.

A failure to enforce a provision once is not a permanent waiver.

These terms may change as Nodefall changes. Material updates will be identified by the date at the top and, when appropriate, a prominent product notice. Continued use after an effective update means the revised terms apply, subject to any additional consent required by law.
